Directory: 7.2 MW Wind Project

GENERAL INFORMATIONThe project involves the installation of 9 nos. of 800 kW WTGs of Enercon make at Chitradurga in Karnataka. The installation of 7.2 MW of total capacity will generate electricity of the order of 16.67 million units annually that will be supplied to the Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited (KPTCL) grid under a long term Power Purchase Agreement (PPA). The wind power produced, being GHG neutral, will not only displace thermal power but also will reduce the associated emissions with thermal power generation. The annual greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction through this 7.2 MW wind project is estimated to be 14,167 tonnes of CO2 equivalent.
