GENERAL INFORMATIONThe 9 MW (2x4.5 MW) Neria Mini Hydel Power Project developed by Bhoruka Power Corporation Limited is a mini hydroelectric project in Dhakshina kannada district of Karnataka State, India. It is a Run-off the river scheme on Neria river, which is a west flowing river. Major components of the project are a diversion weir was constructed across the river to divert the stream to a power canal upto forebay cum intake structure, individual steel penstock to convey water each hydro generating unit and an open tail race channel to release water back into the river.
