Australia keen on scientific research with India

Australian scientists will work with their Indian counterparts on cutting-edge research in fields ranging from agriculture to health. Australia's Innovation Minister, Senator Kim Carr, on Monday announced that the Australian Government would provide A$2.7 million (Rs 11 crore) for nine joint projects through the fourth round of the Indo-Australian Science and Technology Fund, a component of the Australia-India Strategic Research Fund (AISRF). India's Department of Science and Technology will provide matching funding.
